Half cyborgs, aliens, slap n'kiss, fake marriages, time travel, reincarnation, this year in lakornland is exciting! There are a lot of interesting plots out there. Yes, there are the usual remakes, like Rak Nee Hua Jai Rao Jong, but there are also a lot of fresh stories as well. Read on to find out more.

The first part of our Lakornland series part 1 about 2017 lakorns is here! 2nd part about subbed 2018 lakorns is here. The last part, part 3 is this post which will be about notable 2019 releases we may see.
This isn't a complete list, nor should you take it as fact that all these lakorns will air this year. Most of them are still filming and few of them have specific airdates. This is just a heads up for the rest of 2019, lol, what you can look forward to.

Lakorn Remakes of Asian Dramas

Korean (and any other outside Thailand) Remakes -  Last year, we had My Girl, Oh My Ghost, and You're My Destiny. This year we have some news about more drama remakes coming from Thailand.
    • In Time With You - Arak (Pae) Amornsupasiri,  Mo Monchanok - Pae was in two other remakes, Oh My Ghost and My Girl and I did like him in it. I watched the Taiwanese version of it and wasn't a big fan of the friends to lovers story. Maybe?
    • Secret Garden Thailand (Ananda Everingham, Baifern Pimchanok) MAYBE? - not fan of original and I wouldn't have picked Ananda to play the hero here, but if they revise the characters, he might fit.
    • Voice (Andrew Gregson, Pancake Khemanit) - watched some of the Korean thriller - this is about a female voice profiler and impulsive hot tempered cop teaming up to solve crimes. This is a little different for Andrew, he's played a cop before in 12 Rasee, and other lakorns, but this the first potentially challenging role for him I've seen in awhile so I'm interested just for that. A good role for Pancake as well.
    • My Love From Another Star (Nadech Kugimiya, Matt Peernanee) -  MAYBE? - if you're a fan of the hit Korean drama, this is a must watch, but I didn't really like the female lead or couple, I like this pairing better. Hopefully the chemistry is there is this story of the love between an alien and a famous star.
Series - In 2018, there were a lot of series, some like My Hero series, but most of them teenage or college love stories and of course, there are more planned.

Duang Jai Tewa Prom Series - kids from Suparburoot Jutathep series have their own romance. Mostly newbie actors/actresses. Please note this series has been discussed for years, but so far there's no casting, nothing new, so who knows if this will ever be filmed and aired? Lor Jun, Kwanruthai, Jai Pisut, Duj Apsorn, Pon Cheewan

Look Poochai series or The Man series - another romance centered series, but this one looks dramatic. Three parts: Pupa, Petch, and Pat. This has a lot of newbie actors and actresses and not many details but it aired from Jan 2019 to March 2019.

Sleepless Society the series - this looks to be a horror series.

Suparburut Jorm Jon Part 1: Duang Jai Kabot (Mike Pattaradet, Now Tisanart) - this series is about two twins, one twin is a solider, the other is a bandit.

Suparburoot Jom Jon Part 2: Maturot Lohgan – (Mike Pattaradet, Mookda Narinrak)

Season Two - This is pretty new in lakornland, having multiple seasons of the same drama. Yes, there have been a few, The Sixth Sense, Dao Kaew Duen, but not many. Only two I know of coming up this year, Nakee 2 and  Raeng Ngao 2.

    2019 Lakorns
    • Dung Duang Hareuthai (Tik Jesdaporn, Kim Woltemas) - The story of three kingdoms, this is another remake of a famous lakorn, with the popular 2007 Weir and Kwan version, and the 1996 version considered a classic fairytale romance between a king and a princess from different kingdoms.
    • Fai Hima (Louis Hesse,  Kwan Usamanee) - pra'ek is a former cop out for revenge after his wife's death, but will the nang'ek melt his cold heart.
    • Fah Fak Ruk (Toey Pongsakorn, Mint Chalida) - Tongrak is surrogate mom for sister, but she dies and pra'ek Kimhan helps her and protects her.
    • Gon Luang Tuang Nee Rak (Auan Rangsit & Mae Nisachon) - a married couple causes plenty of trouble for other people. TEASERTEASER 2MVMV2
    • Jao Sao Gae Kat (Chap Vorakorn, Grace Patsita) - So it's called "Replacement Bride" and n'ek convinces sister to run from wedding, but that leaves her as the replacement. Sounds like...  okay you might see a theme here, but anything involving marriage usually means I'm in.
    • Kao Waan Hai Nu Bpen Sailab (Great Warinton,  Kao Supassara) - pra'ek is a cop and nang'ek is a spy who gets involved in a fake marriage. And yep, I want to see this one.
    • King Gor Rah Kah Gor Raeng (Ko Vasin, Pinkploy Paphawadee) - a remake of the Kwan and Oil popular lakorn, slap n'kiss and an arranged marriage. I liked the old version so I do want to watch this. TEASER

    • King Kasalong (Yaya Urassaya, James Ma) - Yaya plays twins who are shown during different generations, to be reborn again several times and go through much tragedy and love. What will happened in the present life? Will it finally be a happy ending? I like the couple so I want to check this out. Teaser
    • Kularb Kror Petch (Hana Lewis, Bumrungrak Kantapong) - An action romance about Taychit, whose fiancee, Kanyawee, dies. She is revived to become half human, half cyborg spy. This sounds kinda amazing, haha, I rarely like action lakorns, but with this premise, if it's subbed, I might have to check it out.
    • Lai Kinnaree (Tik Jesdaporn , Yaya Urassaya) - a period lakorn about a female doctor and male cop. Not sure what to make of this, some people have noticed the age difference between the two, but if there's chemistry, they can make it work.
    • Lhong Ngao Jun 2019 (Thunwa Suriyajak, Sammy Cowell) - Subbed by Ninjakkn remake of popular slap n'kiss of guy getting revenge on girl he thinks caused his friend to die.
    • Likit Haeng Jan (Puen Khanin, Namtarn Pichukkana)  - Two women from different worlds switch places, one is a modest girl from the past, the other, is outspoken from the present.
    • Lub Luang Jai (Grate Warintorn, Diana Flipo) - a romantic lakorn with the n'ek about to get married only to have her fiance marry someone else and the pra'ek seeks a chance to win her love now she's single. Doesn't sound that interesting, it's all in the execution and chemistry.
    • Mon Gaan Bandaan Rak  (Mik Tongraya, Bow Maylada)  Similar to Ann and Ken's 365 Days of Love lakorn, with a nang'ek going into the future, only in this one, the nang'ek is surprised to find herself married. Definitely excited since I think Mik has great chemistry with his leads and like time travel plots. TEASER

    • Nee Ruk Nai Krong Fai (Alek Theeradeth, Patricia Good) - (see pic) nang'ek's entire family is killed and the pra'ek was behind it, so what happens when she finds out? Sounds like it could be very angsty and dark (pra'ek was given option to kill three people to save one person)
    • Ok Keub Hak Ab Ruk Khun Samee (Mark Prin, Mew Nittha)  - forced marriage with pr'ek and n'ek, she was adopted by his mother. Yep. I like it. Brought to you by the director of Kluen Cheevit, Game Rai, Game Ruk as well. I don't know about Mew's acting ability though.
    • Pa Gaa Rung See Dum (Fair Gundon, Namwarn Raknapak) - remake of popular lakorn?
    • Plerng Naka (Boy Pakorn, Preem Ranida, Aum Atichart) - Subbed by muse. The meaning of Plerng Naka is Dragon's Fire, so it's a story with fantasy elements to it.

    • Raeng Ngao 2 (Janie Tienphosuwan, Ken Phupoom) - Subbed by muse. So this is a sequel to the 2012 lakorn featuring the married couple. I just don't see the need for a sequel, but maybe I'm wrong.
    • Rak Nee Hua Jai Rao Jong (Toni Rakkaen, Chansangavej Chayanit) - another remake of Ken and Janie's 2007 lakorn about famous model and photographer who end up together on a deserted island.
    • Roy Leh Marnya (Pope Tanawat, Bella Ranee) - romantic comedy of a sharp tongued lawyer and a CEO. Good cast, with proven chemistry since they were in Bpoop Phaeh Saniwaat, so it has potential.
    • Sanya Kaen Saen Ruk (Vill Wannarot, Nike Nitidon) - A wedding planner, Nike, is owed by Vill's character when the groom runs away.
    • Song Naree (Thanwa Suriyajak, Min Pechaya )– remake of Anne Thongprasom's twin lakorn.
    • Suntaya Tis Tarn (Son Yuke, Diana Flipo) - a guy remembers his past life and meets the girl who's in his dreams. Hmm. Another reincarnation lakorn.
